and if we get some chuckles, all the better. It’s now an annual tradition - both Hockey and Breakaway Challenges - both supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska, one event is usually just a bit goofier than the other. :D
Why RMHC?
I know firsthand what serious illness does to a family. I wouldn't wish that knowledge on anyone. My family was lucky enough to live near the care we needed. Over the years, I've known so many people who stayed at the house, had friends who stayed at the house. It both warms and breaks my heart a little every time I hear these stories.
Knowing that RMHC ("the House") is there helps. RMHC provides a home, a community and support - keeping families with children fighting serious illnesses closer to each other and the medical care and resources they need.
